Meditation, Yoga Nidra, Restorative Yoga & Yin

It is my intention as a yoga teacher to create and hold a safe space for students that encourages self exploration and growth. Primary modalities include meditation, yoga nidra, restorative yoga and yin, with emphasis placed on elasticity and the mindbody.
Having grown up with a controllable form of epilepsy and experiencing multiple grand mal seizures has created a heightened sense of awareness of my central nervous system. Additionally, in ‘20-’21, I worked through a full-recovery from Guillain-Barré Syndrome. This rare autoimmune disorder causes ascending paralysis from the autoimmune system creating antibodies and mistakenly attacking its own peripheral nervous system. These experiences have significantly expanded my yoga practice with intense focus on the regulation of the nervous system and healing.
My asana, meditation and pranayama practices have allowed myself to learn how to slackline, complete Ironman 70.3 distance triathlons (1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike and 13.1 mile run) and also play ice hockey competitively for more than three decades.
