Meditation for Reconnecting With True Self

Meditation for Reconnecting With True Self

Meditation is a powerful way to reconnect with True Self by calming the mind, releasing stress, rebalancing the energetic body and allowing innate wisdom to surface. The following grounding meditation encourages the reconnection with True Self.

Create a Quiet Space

Sit in a comfortable position, either cross-legged on the floor or on a chair, with your feet flat on the ground. Close your eyes and place your hands gently on your lap, palms facing up or down, whatever feels most natural to you.

Center Yourself with Your Breath

Take a deep breath in through your nose, hold for a moment, and then exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat this for a few rounds of breath, allowing your body to relax and your mind to settle. Let go of any tension as you exhale.

Set an Intention

Silently set an intention for your meditation. You might say something similar to, “I intend to reconnect with my True Self” or “I open myself to inner peace and clarity.”

Bring Awareness to Your Heart Center

Shift focus to your heart. Imagine a warm, glowing light in your chest, radiating outwards. Feel its warmth, allowing it to expand with each breath. This is the energy of your True Self — peaceful, compassionate, and wise.

Release External Influences

As you continue to breathe, visualize any stress, expectations, or roles you’ve taken on from the outside world gently dissolving. Let go of any identity that feels imposed on you, allowing yourself to be free from external labels. Simply be in the present moment.

Affirm Your Inner Being

    • “I am enough as I am.”
    • “I am connected to my inner wisdom.”
    • “My True Self is peaceful, loving, and whole.”
Silently repeat affirmations that resonate with your True Self.

Listen to Your Inner Voice

Spend a few minutes in silence, allowing thoughts to come and go without judgment. If any insights or feelings arise, observe them. If not, that’s perfectly okay too. Simply focus on being with yourself.

Visualize Your True Self

Imagine yourself free from limitations — fully aligned with your purpose, values, and deepest desires. Visualize this version of you, how they feel, how they move, and how they interact with the world. Let this image fill your mind and heart.

Ground and Return

When you’re ready, begin to deepen your breath. Find gentle movement in both your fingers and toes, bringing awareness back to your body. Take a moment to express gratitude to yourself for this time of reconnection. As you feel called to do so, slowly open your eyes.

Close with an Affirmation

End by saying, either out loud or in your mind: “I am aligned with my True Self, and I carry this peace with me.”

Whenever you begin to feel overwhelmed by either external stimuli or internal noise, this meditation can help you feel more aligned with your authentic Self, grounded, and at peace.

Om.

Namaste.
